OK so today today I'm going to do a little review of the UNKLE album "Psyence Fiction" and yes thats hows its spelled. So just note something I'm not a professional music critic and I chose this album at random from my collection and I haven't really reviewed all the tracks but whatever its fun and I have nothing better to do so heres my review of "Psyence Fiction".  OK so I can seriously the first track has one of the coolest bridges from the intro to the start of the drum beat EVER... ever.  So it builds up with orchestral stuff and you feel like something big is going to happen and all of the sudden it stops and says something like "SOMEWHERE IS SPACE, THIS MIGHT BE HAPPENING RIGHT NOW!!"* and then it goes to this super awesome fill that goes like "CHA DU CHA DU CHA DU CHA DU BATABATABATABATABATABATABABATA PSSHH!! DUDUD chA DUDU DUDU chA" and then someone starts doing this epic rap verse about the future and stuff. So Deltron 3030 comes to mind when you hear the acoustic almost fusion like beats in there and of course the sci fi like theme hearkens you back to "the intergalactic rhyme federation" and such from Deltron 3030.  One of the best tracks on the album is the almost nine minuet epic blast of strings beats and overall awesomeness of the track "Lonely Soul" which sampled music from Apocalypse Now (which is an awesome film might I add).  So I give this album a NINE OUT OF TEN!!!!! WOOOOTT!! yay!

Here's "Lonely Soul"

*which is from the "Star Wars Episode IV" trailer according to wikipedia.

PUNX NOT DEAD!!!

OK so today I'm going to talk about Punk. Punk is\was a music\political movement which had really awesome music like the dead Kennedys and black flag and the clash but the whole genre has been ruined for some people
with the arrival of bands like Yellowcard Fall Out Boy and Green Day. They started whining about how punk is dead and not even thinking about actually starting a punk band.  So this is a message to people around the world who think that punk is dead: STOP CRYING ABOUT HOW PUNK IS DEAD! ITS NOT DEAD!! FORM A BAND! USE AN INDEPENDENT LABEL TO PROMOTE YOUR MUSIC! START A PUNK ZINE!! DO WHATEVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! just quit whining thats all. OK I'll go now.

listen to some dead Kennedys!! (warning that video may have some bad words/violence so DON'T SAY I DIDN'T WARN YOU!!!!) :D

OK so today I'm going to talk about The Red Pony. The Red Pony is A collection of short stories by John Steinbeck and I'm mostly going to talk about the first one called The Red Pony. The main character is a small boy named Jody who is trusted with a small pony to take care of. Unfortunately (SPOILER ALERT) the pony dies of strangles. An important thing about The Red Pony Is that it has many supporting characters in the story that help the action progress smoothly like Billy Buck a horse doctor who is close friends will Jody's father and tries to save the pony. It is set in a rural countryside in California near the mountains where Jody longs to go to in another short story. I would say the protagonist in the story is Jody but to tell you the truth there are multiple protagonists in the book like Billy Buck who helps treat the horses and Jody's father who gave him the horse in the first place. It is told from the readers perspective but focuses on Jody the most. I would say the main theme is coming of age because each short story has him when hes older than the first so It kind if shows him growing up. The mood or tone I guess would go from gut wrenchingly painful to read horse surgeries to tender heartfelt moments. my overall response to the book is quite positive but I don't recommend it to the faint of heart or a weak stomach for that matter. One of the many Strengths of this book is that its a real page turner that draws you in and you really care about the characters and the plot. I think the overall purpose of the author is to portray the emotions that Jody feels in the book and I think he has done that very accurately. So I recommend it to fans of John Steinbeck and it really brings out emotions well in all the short stories. So I hope you enjoyed my little review and bye.

OK so today I'm going to talk about lagwagon. Lagwagon is one of the rare cases of punk bands where there catchy songs and more melodic vocals and guitar don't add up to be an emo group. They formed in 1990 and released there first album in 1992 called "duh" it had a small budget and was recorded and mixed in only four days. In 2000 the lead singer Joey Cape formed the band Bad Astronaut that broke up in 2006 because the drummer died in 2005. So Lagwagon is pretty cool and I recommend them to anyone who likes good melodic/skate punk type music.

OK so today I'm going to talk about Enders Game. Enders Game is like my fav book ever and i really recommend it. So my fav character is prolly ender (of course) hes really kool and stuff I hate graff tho hes really mean and stuff. The plot like this kid gets sent to military school to fight aliens and then (spoiler alert) he ends up killing all the aliens while still in training without knowing it and them he becomes governor of a planet and the end. The authors kind of insane so beware hes just uh insane i guess. So read this book now its really really really GOOOOOOOOOODDDD.

OK so today I'm going to write about The Ramones. These guys were a punk band that formed in 1974 and broke up in 1996. They greatly influenced later pop punk bands like green day. So the ramones are classic and there albums are essential to any punk record collection. So they are awesome  and you should really check them out.
